We would add, be sure of purpose of the meeting. If the purpose adds no value, why have one? Also ensure that participants know what’s expected of them so that they can prepare. Many leadership meetings that we create with our clients come with pre-work and thought assignments to be explored during your meeting. Preparation and communication ahead of the meeting goes a long way in making long meetings shorter by the virtue of the amount that gets done.
