When you’re working hard and tired from dealing with complexities and complications, sometimes a relatively simple, concise thought can inject some energy and clear your mind.

Sheryl Sandberg provided such a thought.

“The question was posed to Sandberg: ‘What’s the number one thing you look for in someone who can scale with a company?’

Sandberg’s reply: ‘Someone who takes feedback well. Because people who can take feedback well are people who can learn and grow quickly.’ ”

Though the question was not directly asked about leaders, it applies. Leaders who listen, who can admit and learn from their mistakes, grow to become better leaders.  Openness, receptiveness, honesty and humility are all qualities that build trust and great leaders.

Not bad for two sentences.
