When you Google the word “leadership” you get some 805,000,000 results; “business leadership” returns about 544,000,000 results. Even “leadership in laboratory mice” racks up 150,000. That’s why the insights shared by Edith Cooper about the 2016 Coach K* Leadership Summit at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business are so refreshing and impactful. The entire post takes just three minutes to read…maybe a little more, if you move your lips.
The insights are Cooper’s notes from the “dynamic and thought-provoking conversations” with “remarkable professionals from a variety of fields including the military, academia, sports, corporate America and more” who came together to ‘share, learn and connect on pressing issues of the day.’ ”
Cooper makes commonsense and compelling observations about leadership that ring true and seem particularly relevant for our times. Deceptively simple, these observations could easily generate a lot more than three minutes of thought or good conversation.
