The communications legal landscape has become much more complicated due to the cross purposes of govenment – in the name of security, developers – in the name of privacy, and the massive lack of understanding of the public. At stake are long held beliefs about rights and how communications technologies have created the need for redefinition of policies as these rights are being scrutinized through the belief specific lenses of all parties.
