As robots look more human and become “more spontaneous” questions of intelligence, ethics and emotion may come to mind. Not all scientists are convinced that robots are more intelligent than humans. When robots replace humans in work, ethical questions arise about what to do about/for the humans who are displaced as well as the question of whether it is ethical to replace humans at the scale that is looming. It is also envisioned that people who are isolated may want the “company” of a robot to break the loneliness.
We’re not so sure that we will be any closer to having answers to these questions when robots are ubiquitous and integrated into everything we do. What do you think?
